Why yoga and
mindfulness in schools?
Studies show the practice of yoga and mindfulness activities in the school setting support children & teens with focus, concentration, social/emotional learning, self-regulation, improved behaviors and an overall increase in self-efficacy and self-esteem.
Incorporating yoga and mindfulness activities into the school and classroom setting offers a physical and emotional outlet for youth and teaches them to develop coping strategies to combat the many challenges and stressors they face in the school and home environment.
The practice of yoga and mindfulness as a WHOLE SCHOOL unit fosters community building and a positive school climate that sets students and teachers up for success rather than failure and builds positive teacher-student relationships.
